VSA Convention 2024, Indianapolis, 2024
The Violin Society of America’s (VSA) Annual Convention in November 2024 has been closed with a final recital from outstanding violinist and Pirastro Artist Augustin Hadelich with pianist Chihi Yen. The sold-out concert has been sponsored by Pirastro. It was a great final honoring the 50th Annual Convention and 25th Annual International Competition of the VSA.
The VSA Competition was the largest to date, presenting 518 instruments to the judges, including 204 violins, 104 violas, 62 cellos and 12 double basses, plus 34 quartets. In addition, also 82 bows have been judged, including 27 violin, 17 viola, 29 cello and 9 double bass bows.
A luthiers and string instruments accessories exhibition completed the convention week. Our US Marketing Manager Ed Mingo enjoyed the unique opportunity to connect with string players and was thrilled to meet so many people who share our dedication to and passion for their art!
